Product Overview
The Senfey ES-PA-12010A is the smallest driver we stock. Derated to 80%, it holds 2 m of 12V 4.8 W/m strip or 1.3 m at 7.2 W/m — one drawer, one shelf edge, one niche. At this size the margin is thin, so confirm the watts per metre first: a single extra metre of the wrong strip is the difference between a working detail and an adapter running hot. Universal 100–240V AC input on one plug-head kit.
| Input | 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz |
| Connector | DC 5.5 × 2.1 mm barrel plug (male) |
| Protection | Short-circuit, over-current, over-voltage |
| Certifications available | CE / FCC / PSE / KC / SAA on OEM builds |
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
Usable output is about 9.6W. That is one detail, not one zone — and it is why most of this SKU’s volume ships in boxes rather than to sites.
- Sample and approval kits. A 1–2 m length of strip with an adapter that a specifier plugs into a socket and looks at, with no driver sizing and no wiring in between. The single largest use for this tier, and a standard line in wholesale supply orders.
- Retail-box and service spares. The field-replaceable driver in a boxed kit, where the buyer needs a like-for-like unit years later — so the barrel size and cable length must stay fixed across production runs.
- Single details up to 2 m at 4.8 W/m — a drawer, a niche, a shelf edge. See cabinet strip installations for how a joinery package splits into zones this size.
- Bench testing of our strip connectors, where a short powered length is all that is needed to prove a joint.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Anything longer than a single detail outgrows this tier fast. One standard 5 m reel at 7.2 W/m already wants roughly four times the output, which puts it in 60W territory, and a high-density reel needs the 96W unit — our power supply selection guide gives the metre limits per tier. The bus is 12V constant-voltage: 24V, RGB and RGBW variants, and 5V addressable pixel strip all need their own supply. The IP20 case is dry-indoor, so anything exposed or washed down needs a sealed driver instead — tell us the location. And it holds 12V flat with no response to 0-10V, DALI or Triac, so either specify a dimmable driver or drop our inline single-colour dimmer into the run.
Customization & Inquiry
This is the entry point of our 12V SMD strip driver line, and the tier customised most often: label and housing branding, plug head, cable length and barrel size are all set per programme.
What to send us in your enquiry: watts per metre and the length to be lit, since 9.6W usable leaves no room for approximation; units per shipment, because this tier ships by carton rather than by project; whether it goes into a retail box, which locks the barrel and cable spec for years of replacements; and the markets it ships to, with the efficiency or safety marks each one demands.
Send Us Your Project Brief — we will come back with the sizing, barrel and cable spec, and the certification build.
