Product Overview
The Senfey SMD 5050 RGBCW LED Strip 96LEDs/m 12mm 24V (ES-5050-96-24V-RGBCW) is the middle density in our five-in-one line: red, green and blue plus two separate white channels, one warm and one cool, on six wires. The controller crossfades between the two whites to land on any colour temperature between them, so one line covers a full tunable-white programme and saturated colour. Closer spacing is the reason to step up from 60 LEDs/m — behind a diffuser both the white-to-white shift and the move into colour read as one line rather than a row of points. It is 24V only. Best For — Which Projects This Fits
Long hospitality coves and corridors. Lobby perimeters, ballroom edges and prefunction spaces where the 60 LEDs/m build reads thin under a shallow diffuser. On 24V one driver covers a useful length before end-of-run drift shows. See our hotel cove lighting project.
Gallery and display lighting with changing content. Cool white to show work honestly in opening hours, warm for evening receptions, colour for launches. Venues with staged day-parts. Neutral working light for prep, warm through service, colour late-night, on one cove instead of two stacked strips.
Five-channel control on a 24V bus. Wires onto 5-channel PWM RGBCW controllers, DMX512 RGBCW decoders and DALI DT8 drivers, with no voltage conversion inside the fixture.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Do not pick this SKU on density alone. If the brief only ever needs one white, the four-in-one RGBW at the same density drives one fewer channel and commissions faster. Output is the trade to check: five chip types share the packages on each metre, so no single channel matches a dedicated strip at that density. A job driven by white light levels wants a single-colour build. Fixtures locked to 12V drivers need the 60 LEDs/m RGBCW, the dual-voltage build. Density does not make it dotless either, so direct-view coves and close-view joinery want an RGBCW COB build. Pixel chases need an addressable build. IP20 rules out facade and wet areas.
Customization & Inquiry
Both white colour points have to be fixed before it ships — they set the tunable range. We also adjust cut and reel length, PCB colour, tail-wire length and 6-pin RGBCW connectors. Please include:
- Total metres and the longest continuous run fed from one 24V driver
- Both white colour points, and whether either must match fittings on site
- The RGBCW controller or decoder specified — PWM, DMX or DALI
- Extrusion model, and whether the run is enclosed or open-backed for heat
