Product Overview
The Senfey SMD 5050 RGBCW LED Strip 60LEDs/m 12mm 12V/24V (ES-5050-60-RGBCW) is the five-in-one build: red, green and blue plus two separate phosphor-converted white channels, one warm and one cool, on six wires. Those two whites are what separate it from RGBW. Instead of a single fixed white, the controller crossfades between them to land on any colour temperature in between, so one line runs cool for morning setup, warm for evening service, and saturated colour for an event. Specify it when the brief asks for tunable white and colour from one detail. Part of our SMD RGB and RGBW strip range.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
Hotel lobbies, ballrooms and ceiling coves. Cool white for morning setup, warm white through check-in and dining, colour scenes for weddings and functions — no fixture change between them. See our hotel cove lighting project.
Venues with sharply split day-parts. Restaurants and bars needing a neutral working light before service and a warm one during it. Because both whites are real diodes, shifting between them holds a proper white point rather than drifting through a tinted mix.
Five-channel control systems. Wires onto 5-channel PWM RGBCW controllers, DMX512 RGBCW decoders and DALI DT8 drivers, at 12V or 24V. Our white and colour temperature guide covers choosing the two end points.
12 mm channel installs. Same 14 mm CNC groove and bead room as the 5050 RGBW builds, so a project standardised on that profile can move up to five channels without re-cutting joinery.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Do not specify five channels where four will do. If the brief only ever needs one white, RGBCW adds a control channel, a wire and a commissioning step that will never earn their keep — the RGBW build is the cleaner answer. Output is the other trade: with five chip types sharing 60 packages per metre, no single channel matches a dedicated strip at that density, so a job driven by white light levels alone wants a single-colour build. It is also not dotless — direct-view coves and close-view joinery want an RGBCW COB build instead. Pixel chases need an addressable build. IP20 rules out facade and wet areas.
Customization & Inquiry
Both white colour points have to be fixed before it ships — they set the tunable range. We also adjust cut and reel length, PCB colour, tail-wire length and pre-soldered 6-pin RGBCW connectors. Please include:
- Total metres and the longest continuous run fed from one driver
- Voltage, and the RGBCW controller or decoder specified — PWM, DMX or DALI
- Both white colour points, and whether either must match fittings on site
- Extrusion model, and whether the run is enclosed or open-backed for heat
Send Us Your Project Brief and our sales engineer will confirm controller compatibility, driver sizing and both white channels.
