Product Overview
The ES-COB-480-24V-8MM is Senfey’s high-density, single-color COB strip for architectural runs where the diffuser sits close to the emitter. At 480 LEDs per meter the phosphor line reads as one continuous glow, so a designer can specify a shallow reveal without the cove betraying individual sources. Ordered on a 24V bus it roughly doubles the safe single-run distance of a 12V build, letting long hotel corridors and gallery coves be wired as one segment instead of being broken up for mid-run power injection. It shares the 8 mm footprint of Senfey’s other COB LED strip lines, keeping profile and diffuser BOM consistent.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
- Hotel guestroom, suite and lobby coves where the strip sits close to the reveal and must stay dotless at grazing angles.
- Cabinet, wardrobe and joinery reveals: the 8 mm board seats in a standard 10 mm CNC channel with clearance for adhesive to key properly.
- Museum, gallery and premium retail display, where one CCT bin across the order keeps artwork reading neutral from case to case — see the gallery lighting case.
- Long coves fed from one end, where the tail of a 12V run would visibly fall away.
- Fit-outs already standardized on DALI or 0–10V dimming, so it drops into an existing control schedule.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
This is a dry-indoor, single-color COB. Do not specify it for outdoor facades, exterior signage, wet plant rooms or cold-storage — the IP20 build has no jacket or potting, so ask us for a sealed variant rather than trying to seal it on site. If the specification names a colour-rendering grade above this standard build, or asks for documented R9 and per-batch data, flag it at enquiry stage — the high-CRI COB LED strip guide covers what changes in binning and paperwork, and we confirm in writing what we can hold before you commit. And if the brief needs colour-change or scene-driven zones, this single-color build is the wrong starting point; move to an RGB COB or an addressable pixel strip.
Customization & Inquiry
We configure this SKU around the run schedule, not around reel lengths. Cut points land where your setting-out drawing says, lead-in wires exit at the end you nominate so the driver stays in an accessible void, and the order ships from one CCT bin so adjacent coves match on handover rather than on the snag list. Tighter SDCM on request. Send us: (1) total metres and the longest continuous run, (2) target CCT and any SDCM or R9 requirement, (3) profile / diffuser model or a section drawing, and (4) driver plus dimming protocol — 0–10V, DALI, PWM or TRIAC.
