Product Overview
The ES-COB-784-12MM-24V-RGBW puts a dedicated warm white emitter alongside red, green and blue under one phosphor line, and that fourth channel is the reason to specify it. White mixed from three colours is never quite a working white — it shifts as the channels age at different rates, and it breaks down at the bottom of the dimming curve where hospitality lives. A real W channel gives the scheme a functional white layer and a colour layer on one run, so a single cove serves both normal service and event scenes. It belongs to Senfey’s COB LED strip family.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
- Hotel coves and perimeter ceilings holding a warm white wash through service and changing to colour for events, off one run and one decoder.
- Restaurant and bar zones where dinner needs white and late evening needs colour, without a second fixture in the reveal.
- Jobs where the white layer must match the rest of the scheme — we build the W channel at 2700K, 3000K or 3500K; our warm white COB LED strip guide covers the options.
- Channels of 14 mm internal width or more: the board needs a millimetre of adhesive clearance each side.
- Systems on 5-pin common-anode control — 4-channel PWM decoder, DMX512 RGBW or DALI DT8.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Two limits are specific to this SKU. At 12 mm it is our widest COB board, so a profile sized for an 8 mm or 10 mm build will not take it — check the internal width on the section before ordering. And the W channel is one fixed warm point, not a range: where the specification asks for white tunable from warm through cool alongside colour, this build cannot deliver it and a 5-in-1 RGBCW COB is the right step, set out in our RGB COB LED strip guide. Beyond those, IP20 rules out damp and exterior positions, and animation travelling along the run needs an addressable build rather than this one.
Customization & Inquiry
The W-channel CCT has to be settled before we build, because it is fixed in the phosphor and cannot be adjusted on site — tell us the CCT the rest of the scheme runs at and we match it, then hold it across the order so no two coves read differently. Five-pin headers arrive pre-soldered with the W leg marked, since that is the wire most often crossed inside finished joinery.
