The ES-COB-720-12MM-RGBIC is the pixel COB strip to reach for when the effect has to survive being looked at closely. Pixel resolution is only as good as the distance it is viewed from: a coarser strip that reads perfectly across a room starts to resolve into steps once someone is standing at the counter, and a gradient that should glide begins to move in visible increments. More emitters per metre and a wider board push that threshold back, so the motion stays smooth at arm’s length. The extra width also spreads heat, which matters on pixel work where a bright sequence can hold the same few emitters on for minutes. It belongs to Senfey’s COB LED strip family.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits

Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Two checks before this SKU goes on the drawing. Board width: at 12 mm it needs a wider profile than our 10 mm pixel build, so if the joinery is already cut for a narrower channel, the 576LEDs/m 10 mm RGBIC COB is the one to specify. Second, current: a denser pixel board draws more per metre than the 10 mm build at the same brightness, so an existing driver and injection layout sized for that strip will not simply carry this one — send the schedule and we will recalculate it. Beyond those, cut points fall on IC group boundaries rather than arbitrary marks, the data runs one way so a reversed segment stays dark, IP20 keeps it to dry interiors, and a brief with no movement in it does not need pixel control at all — ask us for a static RGB COB instead and a 4-pin decoder will do that job with none of the commissioning.

Density only pays off if the controller can address it. A denser board means more pixels per metre, and pixel budgets are finite — a controller or universe that comfortably ran the 10 mm build can fall short here on the same length of run, which is a problem best found now rather than at commissioning. So we work the pixel count against your controller and universe layout before quoting, and tell you plainly if the run needs splitting across outputs. From there the IC choice fixes the pitch and the cut granularity, we cut to group boundaries against your fixture schedule, and headers are pre-soldered with data direction marked.
