Product Overview
The Senfey SMD 5050 RGB LED Strip 60LEDs/m 10mm (ES-5050-60-RGB) is a colour-change strip built on the classic 5050 RGB package, where one red, one green and one blue chip sit under a single lens. All 60 diodes per metre respond together as one zone from a 4-wire common-anode controller, so the run holds one colour at a time rather than animating along its length. This is the spec contractors mean when a drawing says “5050 RGB 60 LEDs/m”. Part of our wider SMD LED strip range.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
Restaurant, bar and hospitality ambient lighting where the line sits behind a diffuser, cove lip or cabinet edge and nobody sees the strip surface directly. The 5050 emitter throws well through opal PC or acrylic, and static or slow-fade scenes read as clean colour without the dot pattern telegraphing through. See our RGB restaurant lighting project.
Retail display cases and shop-front accents — brand-colour backwash behind glass, seasonal changes on shelving, where the colour needs to shift but the fixture does not.
Projects with a controller already specified. The 4-wire common-anode layout is the industry default, so it drops onto 3-channel PWM controllers, DMX512 RGB decoders and BMS-integrated dimmer modules — no driver hunting when the electrical contractor has already bought the control gear.
12V for short in-fixture segments, 24V for longer runs. At 24V the same output moves half the amps, so colour stays consistent to the end of the run instead of drifting warm as red dominates under voltage drop.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Not a direct-view strip. On bare coves, close-view joinery or any fixture without a diffuser the individual dots stay visible, and on a grazed surface the slightly offset R, G and B chips can throw faint colour fringing at the beam edge. That job wants a dotless RGB COB LED strip. It is also single-zone, so pixel chases, meteor effects and video mapping are out — those need an addressable build, which we quote separately. If the brief needs RGB plus a genuine functional warm white on the same line rather than the muddy white that R+G+B mixing produces, ask us about the 5050 RGBW four-in-one. IP20 rules out exterior and wet locations.
Customization & Inquiry
We adjust cut length, reel length, PCB colour, tail-wire length, pre-soldered 4-pin RGB connectors and neutral or branded packaging. To confirm controller and driver pairing, please include:
- Total metres and the longest continuous run fed from one driver
- Voltage, 12V or 24V, and the RGB controller or decoder already specified
- Whether pieces need pre-cutting to fixture length with connectors soldered
- Neutral packaging, or your own carton and label artwork
Request a Project Quote and our sales engineer will confirm controller compatibility, driver sizing and reel format.
