Product Overview
The Senfey SMD 5050 RGBW LED Strip 120LEDs/m 12mm 24V (ES-5050-120-24V-RGBW) is the highest-density build in our 5050 RGBW line, and the most colour and white output the platform carries on a 12 mm board. White comes from its own phosphor-converted diode on a fifth wire, not from mixed colour. Specify it where the fixture must fill a deep cavity or push through a heavy diffuser and lower densities leave the face uneven. It is 24V only: at this load a 12V build would not hold colour to the end of a run. Part of our SMD RGB and RGBW strip range.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
Deep signage, backlit walls and lightbox faces. Across a cavity of 40 mm or more the light mixes before reaching the panel, and this density lights a large translucent face evenly rather than in bright and dark bands.
Feature coves in hospitality. Warm white for service hours, saturated colour for events, on one line. Where a lower density reads thin along a long cove lip, this holds a solid wash end to end. See our hotel cove lighting project.
Fixtures losing output to the diffuser. Thick opal, deep frosting and double-skinned lenses all cost light. The top of the range leaves margin to hit a working level after that loss — our output and density guide covers working back from a target.
Four-channel control on a 24V bus. Wires onto 4-channel PWM RGBW controllers, DMX512 RGBW decoders and DALI DT8 drivers.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Do not default to this SKU because it is the brightest. Density does not make an SMD strip dotless, so direct-view coves and close-view joinery still need a dotless RGBW COB build. Heat is the real constraint: in a sealed extrusion with no ventilated back, this load raises junction temperature and shortens diode life, so it wants a heatsink profile or a lower density. Where full white output is not required, the 96 LEDs/m RGBW runs further on one driver. Fixtures locked to 12V need the 60 LEDs/m dual-voltage build; tunable white plus colour is an RGBCW job; pixel chases need an addressable build. IP20 rules out facade and wet areas.
Customization & Inquiry
At this density driver sizing and heat dissipation decide whether the run performs. We adjust the white-channel colour point, cut and reel length, PCB colour, tail-wire length and pre-soldered 5-pin RGBW connectors:
- Total metres and the longest continuous run fed from one 24V driver
- The RGBW controller or decoder specified — PWM, DMX or DALI
- Preferred white-channel colour point, and whether it must match fittings on site
- Extrusion model, whether the run is enclosed or open-backed, and any high ambient on site
Talk to Our Sales Engineer and we will confirm driver sizing, run-length limits and profile pairing.
