Product Overview
The Senfey SMD 5050 RGB LED Strip 120LEDs/m 12mm (ES-5050-120-12MM-RGB) is the high-density build in our 5050 RGB line, carrying twice the diodes of the 60 LEDs/m version across a wider 12 mm double-row PCB. The second row roughly doubles colour output per metre and widens the emitting surface, so a diffuser sitting close above it fills more evenly across its width. It drives as one zone per output from any standard 3-channel controller. Specify it where a 60 LEDs/m line is running out of light — deeper sign boxes, larger coves, longer bar fronts. Part of our RGB LED strip range.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
Deeper signage and lightbox backwash. Across a 40–80 mm cavity the doubled output and wider emitting face let colour reach the panel already mixed, rather than resolving into separate red, green and blue trails inside it.
Hospitality coves and bar fronts. Where a 60 LEDs/m line reads thin behind a long banquette or over-bar cove, this density lifts the wash to a usable level and holds mixed hues steady end to end. See our RGB restaurant project.
12 mm channel installs. The 12 mm PCB seats in a 14 mm CNC groove with about 1 mm of silicone bead room each side. Confirm the extrusion first — it will not drop into a 10 mm slot.
24V for heavy current draw. Doubling the diode count roughly doubles amps per metre. At 12V that shows up as voltage drop and colour drift toward red over a 5 m run, so 24V is the safer default.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Density does not make an SMD strip dotless. Because this is a double-row layout, spacing along the run is unchanged from the 60 LEDs/m version — brighter and wider, not smoother lengthwise. Any direct-view position without a diffuser still shows discrete emitters, so specify a dotless RGB COB LED strip there. It is single-zone per output, so pixel chases and video mapping need an addressable build. A 10 mm channel cannot take a 12 mm PCB — ask for the 10 mm 60 LEDs/m RGB. If the brief needs RGB plus a functional warm white on one line, ask about the 5050 RGBW four-in-one. IP20 rules out exterior and wet locations.
Customization & Inquiry
At this density driver sizing and single-run length decide whether the install works. We adjust cut and reel length, PCB colour, tail-wire length and pre-soldered 4-pin connectors. Please include:
- Total metres and the longest continuous run fed from one driver
- Voltage, and the RGB controller or DMX decoder specified
- Extrusion model, and whether the run is enclosed or open-backed
- Whether pieces need pre-cutting with connectors soldered
Send Us Your Project Brief and our sales engineer will confirm driver sizing, run-length limits and controller pairing.
