Senfey’s ES-LC-DIM-004 is an inline dimmer: it goes into the DC cable itself, between the driver and a single-colour 12V or 24V LED strip run. It has no wall plate, no handset and no receiver to find a home for — the adjustment lives on the cable itself. On a fit-out that matters more than it sounds: nothing has to be coordinated with the joiner, nothing needs a hole cut in a finished face, and no allowance has to be reserved on a wall the architect has already drawn. Two current ratings share one footprint, 2A and 6A, so the choice is made on load without redesigning the detail around it.

Best For — Which Projects This Fits
At 80% of rating the 2A unit carries about 38W on a 24V bus and the 6A about 115W — roughly 5 m and 16 m of 7.2 W/m respectively. Both figures halve on 12V.
Millwork where nothing may be drilled. The dimmer goes in with the DC run, so a veneered door or a solid plinth stays intact and the setting-out drawing does not change — most of our millwork projects are specified this way.
Retrofit where the brief arrives late. A run already installed without dimming can be cut into during a short service window — driver stays, strip stays, no chase to cut and no room to hand back.
The dimming option in a strip catalogue. One part number adds adjustment to any single-colour run a reseller already stocks — a standard line in wholesale supply orders.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Adjustment is local, and that is the trade the format makes: whoever sets the level has to reach the unit. Buried above a ceiling or behind a fixed panel it becomes set-once-and-leave — so if the client expects to change levels day to day, the answer is an RF dimmer with a handset, not this one mounted somewhere easier. One channel means one colour: anything with a white or a data line of its own — RGBW, RGBCW, tunable-white, pixel strip — is a different controller entirely. On load, the 6A unit runs out around 16 m of 7.2 W/m at 24V — and splitting a longer run between two inline dimmers leaves two levels that will never quite match, so a corridor wants a single high-current channel instead — the dimmable strip options page sets out which dimmer suits which run length. Housing is dry-indoor.
