Product Overview
The ES-LC-DIM-008 is Senfey’s 30A single-channel dimmer with a 14-key RF handset, for 12V and 24V single-colour LED strip. Its job is not simply to switch more watts — it is to keep a long run as one dimming channel. Split a corridor across three smaller receivers and you get three PWM sources that never track each other exactly; at 20% output the segments read as visibly different brightnesses and the joints show. One receiver has one duty cycle, so the whole length steps together. RF also means the receiver does not have to be seen: it can sit above the ceiling line or inside a service riser and still answer.

Best For — Which Projects This Fits
Size it at 80% of nameplate, as with any driver: about 576W usable at 24V, or 288W at 12V — roughly 40 m of 14.4 W/m, or 80 m of 7.2 W/m, on one channel.
Corridors and continuous linear runs. Hotel, hospital and back-of-house corridors specified as one zone, where matched dimming along the whole length is the deliverable rather than the watt total. See our long-run linear installations.
High-output density. At 20 W/m a 6A receiver runs out under 6 m derated; this channel carries that same load to roughly 28 m.
Retrofit onto an oversubscribed circuit. Where a run was split across receivers only to make the load fit, one 30A channel replaces the group and takes the banding out.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
A short detail is the wrong job here. Two metres draw a fraction of the channel, the terminals are sized for heavy cable rather than a shallow void, and an RF handset is one more thing to lose where a fixed control point would do — our dimmable strip options cover the inline and touch dimmers built for that. Single-channel also rules out RGB, RGBW, RGBCW and tunable-white, and addressable pixel strip, which is driven by data rather than a duty cycle. One warning specific to this tier: carrying the load is not carrying the volts. A 40 m channel must still be fed at intervals along its length, or its far end sits dimmer at every setting — on a run this long that gradient, not the load, is what the client notices. - Watts per metre, and whether the run is continuous or parallel legs off a common feed.
- How many zones the floor or wing needs, so RF group codes are allocated before the units ship rather than reprogrammed on site.
- Where the receiver will be buried — ceiling void, riser, plant room — and roughly how far the operator stands from it.
