Product Overview
The Senfey ES-WS2812B-60-5V is a per-LED addressable pixel strip: the WS2812B driver IC sits inside each 5050 RGB package, so every emitter is its own pixel. That is the whole point of this SKU. A WS2811 strip shares one IC across three LEDs, so a 60-emitter WS2811 metre gives you 20 controllable pixels; this strip gives 60. Against a 30-emitter WS2811 strip the gap is six times the pixel count, not twice. It speaks the standard single-wire WS2812 protocol, so it drops straight into MCU toolchains such as FastLED, NeoPixel, and WLED as well as pro SPI pixel controllers and SPI-to-DMX bridges.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
Specify this strip when the effect brief genuinely needs per-emitter resolution, and the run lengths are short enough to stay on a 5V bus.
Fine-grain animation and dot-matrix effects. Scrolling text, sprite work, and generative visuals, where the smallest visual unit has to be one emitter rather than a three-LED block. A grouped-IC strip physically cannot render these.
Interactive art, event pieces, and stage props. Prop-scale grids and mask fills stay coherent when the audience is within arm’s reach and every emitter is separately visible.
Prototyping and short production batches. The WS2812 protocol is the reference target for most open-source pixel libraries, so an integrator’s existing sketches and show files run unmodified. Our SP110E pixel controller drives it directly for bench work and small installs.
Close-view retail fixtures. Shelf-edge animation and feature vitrines viewed from under a metre, where coarser pixel pitch reads as separate blocks instead of motion, as in our retail display lighting project.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
The 5V bus decides most of these. Copper loss scales against a small supply voltage, so a 10% drop that a 24V strip would shrug off lands as visibly dim, colour-shifted pixels at the far end here. Plan on roughly 4–5 m per feed, with injection points beyond that.
For signage outlines, facades, or any long perimeter where that injection schedule is impractical, move to a 12V pixel strip such as our WS2811 60 LEDs/m 12V and accept the coarser three-LED grouping.
If the fixture is an open cove that has to read as an unbroken line, no discrete-emitter strip will pass. Use an addressable RGBIC COB strip, which combines pixel control with a dotless face. The full range sits under our WS2812B addressable strip guide.
Unsleeved boards also rule out wet and exterior positions. Tell us the environment and we will quote a sealed construction instead.
Customization & Inquiry
On 5V pixel work the power-injection plan matters more than the strip, so we would rather engineer that with you than ship reels and let site crews discover it. We adjust cut and reel length, PCB colour, tail-wire length, and pre-soldered signal and power connectors, and can deliver fixture-length pieces with joints already made.
