Product Overview
The ES-COB-320-8MM-12V is Senfey’s mid-density, single-color COB strip built for dry indoor architectural and joinery projects. Its dotless phosphor line lets the strip sit close to a diffuser — inside a shallow hotel cove or a cabinet reveal — without the bright-spot banding SMD 2835/5050 shows at the same 8–12 mm offset. The 8 mm PCB drops into standard 10 mm interior aluminum channels and CNC-milled millwork slots with 1 mm glue clearance on each side, and both voltage variants share the same footprint, so joiners and lighting designers can standardize on a single profile across the COB LED strip family.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
- Hotel guestroom, corridor and lobby cove lighting where the fixture must stay hidden behind a 15–30 mm reveal.
- Kitchen upper-cabinet, wardrobe and display millwork: joiners can pre-mill the slot at the drawing stage instead of test-fitting on site, because the strip width is fixed across the whole run.
- Office and commercial linear ceiling coffers where a local driver feeds short branches instead of one central supply.
- Retrofit into aluminum profiles with a PMMA milky diffuser at ≥ 12 mm distance for a fully dotless finish.
- Furniture, retail fixtures and set builds that must run off an existing 12V COB LED strip bus rather than a new driver layout.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
This is a dry-indoor, single-color, mid-density COB. Do not specify it for outdoor facades, wet coves, cold-storage rooms or any splash-exposed area — the IP20 build has no potting or jacket, so ask us for a sealed variant instead. Avoid it on single continuous runs longer than roughly 5 m on a 12V bus, where end-of-run voltage drop will visibly dim the tail — move up to the 24V COB LED strip line or plan a mid-run power injection. It is also the wrong pick when the brief specifies tighter colour rendering than a standard Ra 90 build, or when the client wants colour-change, tunable-white or scene-controlled zones — those need an RGB COB or an addressable pixel strip.
Customization & Inquiry
Senfey builds this SKU to your run schedule rather than to fixed reel lengths: cut points fall on the metre marks you specify, headers are pre-soldered so the joiner never solders inside finished millwork, and CCT is held to one bin across the order so two coves lit from different reels still match on handover. To quote quickly we need: (1) total project metres and the longest single run, (2) target CCT and any binning or SDCM requirement, (3) profile / diffuser model or a cross-section drawing, and (4) driver preference plus dimming protocol if any.
