Product Overview
The ES-2835-60-8MM is the entry-density build in Senfey’s SMD strip range, and one figure governs where it can be used: at 60 emitters per metre the gap between them is roughly 17 mm, so a diffuser has to sit at least that far off the board before the dots read as a line. Given a channel deep enough for that, low density stops being a compromise: a metre draws a fraction of what a dense board does, so one driver feeds a much longer run before capacity or voltage drop forces a break — on a long commercial ceiling, fewer drivers and fewer injection points.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
- Office, corridor and commercial ceilings lighting indirectly, where the diffuser sits deep enough in the channel to blend the spacing.
- Long perimeter runs fed from few supply points — the low draw per metre is what buys the distance.
- Distributor programmes reordering the same specification, where matching the previous delivery matters more than headline output.
- General duties: circulation, indirect ceiling wash, secondary light in a layered scheme.
- Standard 10 mm channels and CNC grooves, taking the 8 mm board with adhesive clearance each side.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Direct view is the hard limit. Any cove seen straight on, any close-range joinery, any fixture without a diffuser will show 60 discrete points rather than a line — those positions need a dotless COB build, and our COB vs SMD comparison sets out where the boundary falls. Output is the second limit: this density suits indirect and secondary light, not corridors with an illuminance target to meet, task areas or wall-washing, all of which need a denser board from our SMD LED strip guide. At CRI 80 the strip renders general light properly but is the wrong tool where colour fidelity is judged — merchandise, food or artwork. It is also IP20 and single-colour, so nothing damp, exterior or colour-change.
Customization & Inquiry
On a repeat-order SKU the risk is not the first delivery but the second: a strip that ships from a different CCT bin will not match what is already installed, and on a phased fit-out the difference shows up across a ceiling. So we hold the bin against your reference and record it against the order, rather than shipping to a nominal CCT. Cut points follow your setting-out, leads are pre-soldered to the length you nominate, and we can build under your own label. To quote, send us: (1) total metres and voltage, (2) target CCT and any tolerance you have to hold, (3) the longest single run per driver, and (4) the channel or diffuser reference.
