The ES-COB-840-10MM-24V-RGB is Senfey’s densest RGB COB strip, and the density works with the bus rather than separately: the emitter count keeps the colour line unbroken where the diffuser sits close, while the higher bus roughly doubles the distance one segment travels before the tail loses saturation. That is what a long perimeter cove asks for — a ballroom or corridor lit as one continuous colour line from a single feed, not chopped into zones to hold brightness. The 10 mm board carries more copper too, which counts on colour work, where a saturated scene loads one channel hard while two idle. It belongs to Senfey’s COB LED strip family.

Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Three things push a job off this SKU. Slot width: a 12 mm channel is the practical minimum, and narrower CNC millwork needs the 8 mm build — send the section and we will confirm. The IP20 build is unjacketed, so nothing outdoors and nothing in a wet cove. And with no IC on the board it cannot chase, fade along its length or run meteor effects; if the drawing shows movement travelling down the run, that needs an addressable COB LED strip and this SKU will strand the control package. Where the brief wants colour plus a proper white layer, ask us for an RGBW or RGBCW COB, which adds a dedicated white emitter.

On a long RGB run the number to settle first is current per channel: at this density a saturated scene draws more than many 4-pin decoders will pass, so we work the load against your decoder rating and mark where a repeater belongs — while the joinery is still open. Colour is held reel to reel, and headers arrive pre-soldered with polarity marked. To quote, send us: (1) metres per zone and the longest single feed, (2) decoder and driver models, (3) how the system is controlled — DMX512, DALI DT8, 0–10V RGB or WiFi, and (4) a channel section.
