Product Overview
The ES-COB-840-12MM-24V-RGBCW carries two white emitters as well as the three colours, and that second white separates it from a 4-in-1 build. With a warm and a cool channel the line can be driven anywhere between them, so the white layer follows the time of day instead of sitting at one fixed point. One strip then does the work of two, and the saving lands in the joinery: a single board in one reveal, not a CCT strip and an RGB strip side by side in a double-width channel. It sits at the top of Senfey’s COB LED strip range.
Best For — Which Projects This Fits
- Hotel lobbies and ballrooms — a working white cove for check-in and daytime, colour for events, off one run and one decoder.
- Restaurant and bar zones: white cool for setup, warm through service, colour after hours.
- High-end residential coves and joinery, where one board replaces two strips and the millwork stays slim — allow 14 mm inside the channel plus a bead of adhesive.
- Systems with a five-output decoder — PWM RGBCW, DMX512 or DALI DT8 — addressing the two whites separately.
Not For — When to Ask Us for a Different SKU
Confirm the decoder first. Five channels need five outputs, and a 4-channel RGBW decoder will light the colours and one white while the second stays dark — the most common reason this SKU arrives on site apparently faulty. Beyond that: the board is too wide for profiles cut around our narrower builds — our COB strip width guide compares them — the IP20 construction keeps it dry-interior only, and colour travelling along the run is outside what a non-addressable strip can do. Where the scheme wants tunable white and no colour, a 2-in-1 CCT build carries fewer channels and commissions faster — our warm white COB LED strip guide covers it.
Customization & Inquiry
The pair of white endpoints is the decision to settle before we build, because the span you pick is the span you can reach, and every CCT between them is a blend rather than a native emitter. Tell us where the scheme sits and we will choose the pair around it, then hold both across the order. Six-pin headers arrive pre-soldered and marked: warm and cool crossed stays invisible until commissioning, by which time the joinery is closed. For a quote, send us: (1) the warm and cool CCT for the two white channels, (2) the decoder model and how many outputs it has, (3) the run schedule per driver, and (4) the channel or profile you are using.
