Project Overview
Senfey supplied the lighting for three sculptural ceiling installations and a continuous accent line inside a renovated creative office building in Warsaw’s Praga-Północ district. The interior designer asked for a single coherent brand-orange gesture across the whole upper floor — read as one fluid line, even though the work spans multiple rooms with different ambient daylight.
Project at a glance
- Building type: Renovated 1970s commercial block, converted to creative offices and coworking
- Lighting scope: 3 sculptural ceiling pieces + 1 perimeter accent line
- Total run: 214 metres of silicone neon flex
- Color: Single brand amber, ΔWL ≤ ±2 nm across all elements
- Operating hours: 12 h / day, continuous

Project Challenges
1. Three-dimensional sculptural geometry
The helix piece included a continuous coil with a 40 mm internal radius — right at the absolute bending limit of any round neon flex profile on the market. Standard 6 mm or 8 mm bend-radius marketing claims do not survive contact with a real 3D sculpture; the silicone kinks, the LED line breaks, the geometry is lost.
2. Long-term suspended-load sag
Round neon flex hung in mid-air will sag visibly within weeks under its own weight, especially in heated office air. Without the right sub-frame, clip density, and silicone formulation, the sculpture deforms by the end of its first month in service.
3. Cross-batch color consistency
The four elements were installed across three weeks, drawing from multiple potential production batches. Without strict single-bin sourcing, the brand-orange tone would have varied visibly between rooms, breaking the “single fluid line” brief.
4. Profile-to-profile color matching
The perimeter accent line had to fit a narrow architectural shadow gap of just 18 mm, requiring a top-bend profile rather than the round profile used for the sculptures — but had to color-match the round neon perfectly, despite being a different physical product.
5. Fully concealed cabling
Every piece had to be plenum-fed with no visible cabling. Every power and data lead entered through a single hidden node per sculpture.
Product Highlights
1. True 16 mm bend radius — drawing reproduced 1:1
SF-NEON-RD16 is a 16 mm-diameter top-grade silicone neon flex with a verified 16 mm minimum bend radius. The helix coil was reproduced 1:1 against the designer’s drawing without distortion or kinking.
2. Anti-sag silicone, validated under load
The silicone formulation is reinforced with an anti-sag inner spine that holds geometry under continuous indoor thermal load — validated by our internal 1,000-hour suspended-load test.
3. Single LED bin across both profiles
All 214 metres — both round and top-bend — were committed from a single LED bin in one production run, holding the dominant wavelength inside ±2 nm. The round sculptures and the top-bend accent line read as exactly the same amber on camera.
4. Snap-in clip system, zero field welding
The installer worked directly to a CNC-cut aluminum sub-frame using snap-in polycarbonate clips. No field welding, no exposed fixings, and a clean shadow line from any viewing angle.
5. 16-bit PWM dimming for office cameras
The DMX decoder runs 16-bit PWM, keeping low-end dimming smooth and flicker-free under office cameras and video-conferencing lighting — important in a building where the corridor sees daily content shoots.
Result
Fabrication and pre-assembly closed in five weeks. Install was staged across four nights to keep the building operational:
- Night 1: Lounge oval — installed in a single shift
- Nights 2–3: Corridor helix — most labor-intensive piece
- Night 4: Meeting-zone wave + perimeter accent line
All four elements opened with the rest of the renovation in January and have been running on a 12-hour daily schedule since. At the five-month inspection: zero service calls, zero visible sag, zero color drift. The studio has already specified the same SF-NEON-RD16 profile for two upcoming hospitality fit-outs in Kraków and Gdańsk.
