Project Overview

This immersive LED lighting installation delivers 18,000 meters of entertainment venue LED strip across the interior concourse and revolutionary entry tunnel of the world’s largest spherical entertainment venue. The system creates transformative transitional experiences as guests move from the Las Vegas Strip into the venue’s inner world — specifically, a 400-meter immersive tunnel featuring 360-degree pixel-mapped LED environments that completely envelop visitors in synchronized light and motion content. Moreover, the immersive LED lighting extends throughout all concourse circulation areas, VIP hospitality spaces, and premium suite environments, creating a cohesive visual narrative from arrival through departure. The entertainment venue LED strip system contains 1.08 million individually addressable pixel points synchronized with sub-millisecond precision to the venue’s massive interior LED display surface. Consequently, every guest experiences a seamless visual journey where concourse lighting, tunnel content, and the main sphere display operate as one unified system. Senfey delivered the complete installation within a compressed 12-week timeline to meet the venue’s immovable opening date.

Client Requirements & Challenge

The immersive LED lighting tunnel required full 360-degree continuous LED coverage across 400 meters with absolutely zero visible gaps at any viewing angle — because guests walk through the tunnel surrounded by content, any dark seam or joint line immediately destroys the immersive illusion. Content synchronization with the venue’s massive interior LED display demanded frame-accurate sACN timing with less than 1 millisecond latency, as the tunnel content serves as a visual prelude to the main show experience. However, Las Vegas building codes imposed strict requirements for full fire-rated enclosures and UL certification on every component installed within the public egress path — a significant engineering constraint for a 360-degree surround installation. Furthermore, the construction timeline was extremely compressed with no flexibility on the venue’s announced opening date, therefore requiring pre-fabrication solutions that could be installed in rapid sequence without on-site modification. The electrical contractors coordinated installation with 14 other trades working simultaneously within the tunnel structure, each requiring access to the same confined space on overlapping schedules.

Senfey manufactured custom 360-degree tunnel profile sections that tessellate seamlessly for completely gap-free entertainment venue LED strip installation — guests perceive continuous light without any visible joints between sections regardless of viewing angle or proximity. The immersive LED lighting uses sACN protocol with IEEE 1588 PTP time synchronization that ensures frame-perfect alignment with the main display system at verified sub-millisecond latency, enabling creative content to flow seamlessly from tunnel into sphere. All components carry UL listing with fire-rated cable management trunking throughout the full 400-meter tunnel and all public concourse areas as required by Clark County building code. Pre-assembled curved modules shipped in precise installation sequence enabled rapid deployment during the compressed timeline — crews installed an average of 35 linear meters of tunnel per day without rework. Furthermore, Senfey provided 12 redundant sACN controllers paired in failover configuration, ensuring that no single hardware failure can interrupt the guest experience during live events. The system supports 48fps content refresh across all 1.08 million pixels with sufficient headroom for future 60fps content upgrades.
